The one thing I hear from women
all the time is how handsome I am…
No, no, no, just kidding.
It’s only my mom that tells me that!
Ok…
This is the thing that always comes up,
every time I ask Ottawa women what their goals
are when it comes to weight loss?
This is the response I get:
…I want to get back to where I was OR
I want to get back to the size/weight
I was (a few years back OR before I had kids, etc.).
Have you ever thought this?
Have you ever said it yourself?
Well this idea of ‘getting back’ to where you once were
is a fallacy,
It’s a trap,
It’s an illusion.
Trying to get back there without a time travel
machine is impossible!
but you keep on playing it out in your head
without ever realizing that you’re going nowhere!
The truth is, you are not
the same person you were a month, a year or
a decade ago!
Instead of trying to recreate yourself,
embrace who you are right now
and be the BEST YOU CAN BE NOW!
Thinking about where you were doesn’t
empowering you, connecting with
expressing and being the best version
of yourself right now does!
And that is the path you want to embark on!
Being and living at your best and as your best self
will liberate you, trying to get back to where
you once were will only stress you out!
Stop trying to go there, you’re much better
then that now, you just don’t realize it!
Instead take that energy and invest it into
RIGHT NOW and becoming the best version
of yourself in this moment.
And you don’t have to do much here,
other than asking yourself
What does it mean to you to be and live at your BEST?
THIS IS IMPORTANT TO NOTICE,
I’M NOT ASKING YOU TO ‘DO’ YOUR BEST,
BUT ‘BE’ YOUR BEST.
This goes beyond ‘doing’ and invites you to become
and express your truth, when you’re being the ‘doing’
part is effortless!
if you where at your best right now, however
that looks and feels to you, what would be different?
How would you show up in life?
How would you think?
How would you treat yourself?
How would you express yourself?

Would you be more joyes?
would you be more playful?
would you be more energetic?
would you be more compassionate?
And this is exactly where you need to go
now and start there!
Don’t wait and put off being all those things
until you ‘get in shape’ or lose the last 10lbs!
Become the best version of yourself,
Express your true self to the world (love, kindness, etc.)
And the body will follow, trust the process.
