So what’s a girl to think when she eats a healthy balanced diet,
get’s plenty of rest and exercises regularly but can’t lose weight?
–>MUST BE MY HORMONES!
Many doctors, naturopathic, nutritionists
and even trainers will tell you that that
is your issue.
What if I told you, regardless of how messed up
your hormones may be, you can still lose weight?
I’ve worked with many women over the last 10 years,
who where told they had all those same issues,
hypothyroidism, adrenal fatigue, insulin resistance,
elevated cortisol levels (Stress), food sensitivities, etc.
And yet I’ve seen all of my female clients lose weight
despite these issues.
At first I too thought that hormones where a
major factor in weight loss.
Especially after seeing so many of my female clients
follow very healthy and balanced diets,
train regularly and yet they still could not lose weight.
So the assumption then was –> IT MUST BE HORMONES!
And after putting so much emphasis on
treating these issues, with supplementation,
detoxes, etc. most of them where
unsuccessful, because I (and everyone else)
where overlooking and ignoring
the primary principle of weight loss.
Which was the reason why they could not lose weight,
it was not their ‘hormones’ fault.
We where shooting at the wrong target!
What I had discovered (and it took me nearly a decade)
will blow your mind.
I was wrong and so are all those ‘experts’ telling you
you can’t lose weight because of your hormones
are also wrong!
First off, you’re not as ‘messed up’ as you think you are.
You’re not broken!
Second, and this is huge, this is the single
most important factor that all of these ‘experts’ miss
that can solve your weight issues very quickly!
I get that most people will not want to hear this, but
it’s the truth!
And this is the reason why I could not help some of my clients
until I embraced this truth!
I did not want to believe it, it just couldn’t be that simple!
What I had began noticing, that many of my female clients
where following very healthy diets and exercising
regularly BUT they where simply consuming too many calories
in order for weight loss to occur!
Yes, you can in fact eat too much (caloricly) even if it’s all healthy.
Most women are not obsessed with oils, avocados,
nuts, seeds, smoothies, etc. which are all GOOD
FOR YOU, but when are not considered as part of
an entire weight loss based diet and not factored in, can hinder and even
completely stall your weight loss process!
I’ve seen this one too many times!
Without being aware of something so simple, these women
where under the assumption that they where doing
everything right but because they could not lose weight,
they where under the assumption that there was something
wrong with their bodies, metabolism and hormones.
Yet, it was never their hormones that kept them
from losing weight, it was lack of awareness.
Once they began tracking their intake and capping their calories
at a range that would allow them to lose weight, they LOST WEIGHT!
AND YOU CAN TOO!
And they did with such EASE that they where shocked!
I had then witnessed every single one of my female clients
with diagnosed ‘hormonal imbalances’ LOSE WEIGHT!
This should be a huge sigh of relief to you.
This means, that no matter what you’ve been told, you can
chose to no longer use that as a reason to not look and feel
Start with tracking your food intake, and if you’re consuming too many calories, you’ll need to make an adjustment in such away that will support your weight loss goals.
One way to do this, is to simply take your goal weight
(what do you want to weight) and multiply it by 10.
For example 140×10=1400 calories. (this is just a rough example)
These are your Weight Loss Diet Calories!
And now it’s a matter of executing them consistently.
And I’ll leave you with this final thought.
I always tell clients, to stop obsessing over eating ‘clean’.
When it comes to weight loss, quality of food is not as important as quantity!
